| The Challenge: |
To collaborate with its customers, our client was using email, telephone
and fax. On a daily (sometimes hourly) basis they would email detailed job
status spreadsheets to customers and other parties. Needless to say this
method was labor intensive, error prone and often delayed getting important
information to those who need it most.
Moreover, any new system would need to coexist with the client's existing workflow
management system.
|
| The Solution: |
The client turned to Lunaverse to build a system that would provide detailed
information about jobs in real time to its customers and third parties.
The system accomplishes this and goes further by extending job workflow across
organizational boundaries. External parties use the system to perform key steps,
such as approving variances.
Job information is complex and detailed, and internal users needed an efficient
way to keep it up-to-date. So Lunaverse created a Windows-based interface for
our client's staff. Using this interface, staff members can update job information
much more quickly and easily than if they were using the web-based interface.
The architecture was designed to allow the new system to coexist with
the existing workflow management system. Lunaverse also made the necessary
modifications to the existing system.
